How to transport industrial coating supplies safely?

The transportation safety of industrial coating supplies requires strict compliance with relevant regulations and operating standards. Industrial coatings are usually classified as hazardous materials, especially oil-based coatings, because they contain flammable solvents, are volatile, and flammable. During transportation, a series of safety measures must be taken to ensure safety.
Preparation before transportation
Qualification requirements: The transportation of industrial coatings must have professional hazardous material transportation qualifications. Related enterprises and drivers need to hold a dangerous goods transportation qualification certificate, and transportation vehicles must undergo special inspections and have dangerous goods markings.
Packaging requirements: Industrial coatings should use packaging containers that comply with standards, such as UN standard packaging containers. For barrel transportation, a pressure relief valve must be equipped and a "dangerous goods" label must be placed on the outer box.
Safety measures during transportation
Preventing collisions and high temperatures: During transportation, collisions and high temperature environments should be avoided, and vehicles must be kept away from open flames and high temperature environments. During high temperatures in summer, if the temperature exceeds 30 ℃, transportation should be carried out according to the operating hours specified by the work site, and effective shading facilities should be equipped on the vehicle if necessary.
Electrostatic treatment: Tank trucks transporting flammable liquids should ensure that the electrostatic discharge device is well grounded during operation.
Regular inspection: During transportation, it is necessary to regularly check the loading condition of the goods, such as whether the bundling is firm and whether the packaging has leaks. Once abnormalities are detected, corresponding measures should be taken immediately.
Time and geographical restrictions: Transportation should be avoided in densely populated areas, and transportation is prohibited during certain time periods (such as 5-7am and 12-14pm).
Emergency response and legal regulations
Emergency measures: Necessary emergency handling equipment such as fire extinguishers should be equipped during transportation, and emergency plans should be developed.
Legal regulations: According to the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals, industrial coatings belong to Class 3 flammable liquid dangerous goods. When transporting, relevant regulations must be followed to ensure that all documents are complete, such as MSDS safety data sheets, transportation vehicle qualifications, etc.
